Soul Searching is what they call it, but what does that even mean? What the heck is a soul? How do you know where to look? Where’s the guide on how to do a proper soul search? There isn’t one. You can go online and find mediation exercises, how to do breathwork, and people telling you that prayer is the answer to everything.

But what if there was another way that just required you to sit still? To talk to yourself? To even just look at yourself. What if all it took was reaching within. Asking yourself the tough questions, taking the time to understand your answers. Taking the time to understand your Soul.

Your soul is who you are at your very core before societal expectations got to you before damage was done by loved ones. Before negative beliefs took hold of you. When your self-image wasn’t shattered by well, yourself.

There’s work that happens before getting into soul work. There’s step way before you even begin your journey. Self-awareness is the key to unlocking this journey. Are you aware of who you are right now? The good, the bad and especially the ugly. Do you know your triggers? What is your biggest fear? Who are you when you’re alone? These questions help gain self-awareness. I swear the more self-aware you are, the easier it will be to start the journey deep within.

Vulnerability is another key to the puzzle. Can you be vulnerable with yourself about what you haven’t forgiven yourself for? Are you able to tell your loved one that something they did hurt you? That you’re upset with them? THAT is true vulnerability and with this in your pocket, you’re already more open and ready to start your spiritual journey

I created this blog to help those along their journey of self-love and self-actualization. It’s not easy work, and I’m still growing myself, but if I can even help one person love themselves more, heal from their past, and grow to be the radiant sunbeam they’re meant to be, then I’ll know my mission on this earth is complete.

At the end of each of my blog, I have journal and mediation exercises! I am here for any of my readers and would love to see how journaling and meditating went and am here for you if you want to discuss what you wrote or felt! Feel free to leave a comment, email me, or message me on instagram. Whatever you feel comfortable with!

Meditation Exercise: Practice sitting in stillness for 5 minutes. Eyes can be open or closed, be in a comfortable position (laying down or straight up), and just be. The focus is to breathe in love, acceptance, and peace, and breathe out anger, confusion, uncertainty, and fear.

Journal Exercise: Who do you think you are at your core? What does your soul yearn for? What brought you joy, peace, and happiness when you were growing up? What brings you joy, peace, and happiness now? Do these things fulfill your soul? What can you start doing today to satisfy your soul?

I hope you found some inner light reading this.
